Zephyr Coffee House:

This is a cool hidden cafe in Pasadena's east side. Driving around you may not even notice it. I went there for a quick lunch. It's in a house that's been converted into a cafe, art space, live music space. The interior is very comfortable with tables and couches with many rooms to lounge. Plop down with a cup of joe, plug in the laptop and get to work or read the paper or a book.
The cool thing is that the busy Colorado street is just outside but aside from a little traffic noise, you feel miles away. They have a back patio area that feels secluded from the bustle of the street. From what I can gather there is no wireless access.I ordered the Roasted Red Pepper Panini which also had Artichoke Hearts, Mushrooms, Spinach and Pepper Jack Cheese on Olive Bread. The bread was fresh, tasty and cruchy. The insides were good but the sandwich was thin.
I've had more quantity of food for the same price at other places, but the meal was good for a light lunch. With the chill factor atmosphere - I can see coming back to "get away" again in the future and I may have to try one of them crepes.Zephyr Coffee House and Art Gallery

This place is perfect for a date!!! Or a place to "talk" w/ that special someone!
Inside, there are many PLUSH seating and love seats. Outside (not the front), on the side of the house is a lush Zen-like garden setting.
Though most of the things on the menu is kinda pricey, it's well worth it! They serve their coffee's and drinks in REAL Mugs and Glasses, NOT papper or styrofoam. This place is a place you do not go alone, if you wanna do that you might as well go to Startbucks. This is a place that must be shared in the company of the people or person you like.
The girls that work here are pretty cute too!

i just stumbled on your blog and i think it's an outstanding idea to explore pasadena. i've been to most of the places that you have, though i never took picts of the food or spent time to come up with restaurant reviews.
zephyr is the ULTIMATE place to bring a special someone for some 1v1
